Joseph Garratt are a family run business bringing British manufacturing to the golf market. The brief was to create an identity that was quintessentially British but with flair and an edge to enable it stand out within the junior golfing market. A common misconception is that the logo is based on two golf clubs crossing each other. The actual inspiration was a cross-stitch. As the brand boasts it's very own tartan designs I believed the materials and sewing to be the perfect place to start. As he logo progressed the letterforms were added and it took on a bow-tie design, which suited the British ethos perfectly. Simple and striking the logo works perfectly embroidered, printed and digitally and is versatile enough to be used in logo systems across the brand.
